Egg bhurji is a delicious recipe made from eggs and eaten with chapati (Wheat bread). This is quite simple to cook and perfect recipe for bachelors. This recipe take few minutes to cook.
Eggs are very nutritious food owing to its content providing us all essential amino acids as well as protein and many other vitamins and mineral.
In order to make egg bhurji you need following ingredients (Serving a single person):
1. 3 eggs
2. 2 finely chopped onions
3. 1 small size tomoto
4. 1 green chili
5. 1 pinch turmeric powder
6. Red chili powder (half tablespoon or as per your taste)
7. Water
8. 2 large spoon cooking oil ( Sufficient to cook onions but not execessive)
9. Cumin seeds
10. Salt to taste
Method:
First heat the oil in a pan and as soon as it heats up sprinkle cumin seeds. Once the cumin seeds has crackled, pour onions and green chili in the oil and let them turn golden brown.
At this stage add finely chopped small tomato and cook well. Now add turmeric powder, salt and red chili powder and little water. Now let this mix cook until oil is released.
When the spices are well cooked and oil has been released, add content of the eggs in the mix. Break eggs delicately while adding their content in the mix.
Now mix well and keep the flame low. Now keep mixing the mix and it will thicken with time. Don't let the mix turn into large lumps by keep crushing the lumps with the spoon.
At final stage you will find small lumps of pea size well mixed in spices. Don't overcook to avoid dehydration of the mix.
You egg bhurji is ready to eat with butter chapatis . This is very delicious and easy to cook recipe.
